What a beautiful (and almost WARM) day today. We hope you are looking forward to spring and some of the fantastic events we have lined up for you! My walk around Buckland Park is on this Saturday 12th March - meet to car share at Canada Hall at 10 am (I need a lift! Please? Pretty please?) or 10.30 am at Buckland Park. £3.50 entry - yes I know there's a fee to get in , but it compares very favourably with National Trust places and RHS Gardens - and the restaurant is FAB! Please let me know if you want to enjoy the restaurant so I can book. And experienced and fully kitted out open water swimmers can book a swim.
On Monday we have our fascinating talk on the history of Merstham by Alex Hunter - do come - he's really interesting - invite friends and family. £3 entry or free to annual members.
Rather excitingly, I have a couple of events lined up in conjunction with Merstham Wildlife Sightings group- One is a trip tot he British Wildlife Centre in Blindley Heath possibly on 2nd or 9th April - If I get enough interest it will be at reduced rate - prices to be advised. Another event will be a treasure hunt/team walk around Merstham - Short, medium and longer route available to do with friends and family. Paths most of you will know or will be about to know - date tbc but probably early May bank holiday.
As. usual crafting, breakfast and pub meetings still continue at the hub or the feathers . Watch out for the Merstham Community day in July. See you soon. Liz
