Hasn't it been glorious to see this wonderful warm weather this week. With the clocks going forward , it's been really lovely to have lighter evenings. I hope you're stocked up on Easter Eggs. The spring flowers have been delightful and my bees are already making honey.

We have a few lovely outdoor themed events coming up. Merstham horticultural society are hosting a talk on herbs with some for sale on Monday 7th April at Canada Hall. All our members are welcome at 8pm.

Sadly we've had to postpone our walk with Holmesdale Natural History society to September. It should be an interesting, informative, short and easy walk . There will be a small charge and limited spaces - so book quickly when we confirm the date!

Our next speaker will be talking about the history of crosswords on 8th April so bring your thinking hats (remember that from guides?), pencils and a head for clues!

In June we have a stall at All Saints fair - a really great day out. So for a little work for free entry, come along and promote our group to friends and visitors - We will have a jam making session on 17th May and a venue to be confirmed - open to beginners and experienced jam makers alike. We are asking for donations of jars and fruit. We will feed you too.

We've also booked a stall at Quality Street in September - another lovely fair.

I am booking a few theatre trips now - if you'd like to come to An Accidental Death on an Anarchist by Theater workshop Coulsdon on 12th April at 7.45pm, tickets are £12 or £9 concessions. Follow this link for tickets here https://twcoulsdon.org.uk/ or ask if you'd like a ticket to be bought (or you can pay on the door!) Lifts available.

Do get in touch about our book club too.

We have a provisional date for our barn dance in October - I am just waiting for confirmation from Merstham Village Hall.

Our weekly events are still going ahead at the hub (in spite of no more coffee) on Tuesday, Friday and Saturday mornings.

I hope to organise a few local evening walks over May and June and we're looking into National Garden scheme gardens to visit locally - if you have any ideas of interesting places to visit please do say.

Come along to our next meetings and bring your friends too!
